Care Leavers
At Greenwich, we want to support all care experienced students, no matter how long you have been in care for. We recognise the additional difficulties you may have faced, which is why the University offers support from application stage to graduation. Applying to Greenwich
The University offer consideration to applications from care leavers, support for choosing the right course and help in attending events and visits to the campus. Find out more here or by emailing careleavers@greenwich.ac.uk.
Whilst Studying
The University has student ambassadors known as a ‘Greenwich Friend’ who can offer support and guidance, including transitioning into the University. The University also has designated staff to provide support and guidance, such as a care leaver coordinator.
Finance
University Bursaries
The University offer bursaries including:
Care Leaver bursary: offering care leavers a bursary of £1500 a year for up to three or four years, depending on the length of your course.
The Greenwich Bursary- offering £700 to new undergraduate students entering Year 0 or 1 who meet the eligibility criteria.

Student Finance England
You may be entitled to receive government funding through Student Finance England, including loans, grants and bursaries.
