Booking a room


We have a new home in the Dreadnought building on the Greenwich campus, which includes a range of rooms that can be booked for all sorts of meet ups and events.

If you want to book some space with us, read on below to find out how.

 

Our spaces 

We have five rooms (including one divisible room) available to book at the Union. Read our Room Booking Guidance document for more information.

In the Atrium on the Ground floor of Dreadnought, you can book the following: 

  • 2 x stalls (you can book individually but currently two spaces for stalls are available) 
  • Exhibition equipment (this includes up to 8 x display grids. 3 x easels and 2 x A1 pin boards) 
  • Whole Exhibition space  

 

You can book all of the above if you need the whole space, or just a stall if you need it. We assess what is currently in the Exhibition space and whether a stall can also be put next to it.

Clubs, Societies and Academic Reps 

You can book rooms on the Ground Floor through your relevant staff contact at the Union:

Please email them with the following information: 

  • Date/s and time/s you need the room 
  • Specific room you want (if you have a preference) 
  • Estimated number of people utilising the room 
  • Room layout (boardroom or lecture style) 
  • If you require a screen/computer 
  • How many chairs you require (if any) 

 

To book the Lower Deck, please email the team there directly at lowerdeck@gre.ac.uk with the date/s and time/s you need some space, number of people, and any technical requirements.

Individual students and University staff 

You can ask to book a room at our Welcome Desk in Greenwich or email gsuroombookings@gre.ac.uk with the following information: 

  • Date/s and time/s you need the room 
  • Specific room you want (if you have a preference) 
  • Estimated number of people utilising the room 
  • Room layout (boardroom or lecture style) 
  • If you require a screen/computer 
  • How many chairs you require (if any) 

 

Your booking request will go to our Room Booking Group, which meets every Monday at 12pm and will confirm your room booking request for you. You will get a notification when the booking has been accepted. 

If your booking is urgent (within the same day or before the room booking group will next meet), please state this on your email to gsuroombookings@gre.ac.uk, or speak to one of our team at our Welcome Desk (open 10am – 7pm, Monday-Friday).
