Life during COVID
Each week of lockdown until the proposed date of Wednesday 2nd December, we’ll be updating you with a news article to outline if anything has changed, helpful reminders and any news that might be relevant.
Is any guidance changing this week?
The UK Government has voted to implement a nationwide lockdown commencing Thursday 5th November.
The Minister of State for Universities has highlighted that keeping universities open will prioritise education. They have also asked for everyone to stay at their term-time address to stop the spread of COVID 19 around the country.
Greenwich Students’ Union has updated their Student Information page for this lockdown period highlighting changes to venues and services. You can discover more on this here: greenwichsu.co.uk/studentinfo
The Lower Deck and Change will be closing their doors for this period, this follows the guidance that only essential stores can be open. The Village Shop will be remaining open for this period, but with a change of hours. The Village Shop takeaway service is still running during this time.
Lockdown tip of the week
Use this time to make a list of things you could do with to make your room feel more homely. Order one thing each week to uplift your mood.
