Aidan Payne
I am Aidan and currently in my second year of studying Mathematics at
Greenwich. The reason why I am proud to be gay is that it means that I
can be in a relationship with another man and not be persecuted for it.
Whilst at university, I haven’t faced many barriers surrounding my
sexuality, but I have received support from friends whenever I have
issues with my sexuality. However, outside of university, I have faced
some barriers due to my sexuality such as homophobia and to overcome
this, I usually ignore them to show that their opinions are invalid.
