Why are we doing this?
The Union spends over £100,000 a year to pay four students to make decisions on your behalf. Only 8% of students vote to elect them.
“We need to radically change the way we are representing our students and the structures of how students can get involved with us. Something needs to change.”
Meike Imberg, Union President
The data we have collected shows that your Union isn’t currently reflecting your needs. From our low engagement with BAME, Mature and Postgraduate students (who make up the majority of the student population) to the lack of voter participation, we want to understand how to represent you better.
“Change is difficult but it starts with improvement and finding the right key to open engagement through real action”
BAME Network Representative
We believe that change should empower you to have more ownership over your experiences and time at the University of Greenwich.
This October, you have the opportunity to take control of the changes you want to see. Your Union is for you, and how we run is determined by you.
