From Monday 19th November until Sunday 25th November is This Girl Can week.

This Girl Can is a national campaign that encourages women and girls of all abilities, backgrounds, shapes and sizes to get active.

As part of the campaign, there are a list of events to get involved in across the week, as well as showcase stories.

In her story, Giulia offers advice to those who haven't participated yet: "Do it. Do it. Do it. Doesn't matter if you feel that you're not good enough for it, or if you consider yourself not an athletic person. The people around you are there to help you and make you have a great time, there is no judging."

The week is supported by Vice President Activities Jono Smith who says: "To me, This Girl Can week is about focusing on and celebrating women in sport. Here at Greenwich, we have a plethora of incredible women in sport and it’s only right that we highlight this."

Smith continues: "Our student groups at Greenwich Students’ Union are completely student-run and without some of these amazing individuals, our students wouldn’t have some of the opportunities that they currently have such as playing sport, making friends for life and looking after their physical and mental health just to name a few."
