This week Greenwich Students' Union (GSU) has launched its Student Priorities which is ultimately a huge conversation between our 20,000 members (you) and GSU.
We find a lot of students think the only way they can influence change and decisions at GSU is if they hold positions of leadership or go through Atreus consultations. In reality, what the Student Priorities process does is that it allows every student (no matter how involved in GSU you are) to input their views and University experience through conversations with us and ultimately direct the work we do for the 2020/21 academic year.
Check out the research from last year and the work students determined for GSU here.
We are going to be out and about across all the three campuses from Tuesday 5th until Friday 22nd November in student halls, social spaces and we will be holding open forums for you to raise your voice. Keep an eye out for these opportunities on our social media channels!
Things you can raise include :
- Your University experience (positive or negative)
- Issues you are facing on your campus
- Perception of the Students’ Union
- What more can be done to represent your needs
If you want to guarantee your input into the Student Priorities you can fill out the research form here.
Make sure to attend the Members Meeting on the 4th December, 4.00pm - 5.00pm (Dreadnought Atrium) to see the final shortlist of the priorities from the research and vote on the work you want GSU to do in the next academic year.
