Unfortunately there are a number of student-led Societies at Greenwich Students' that will soon be de-ratified (de-ratified means the student group is no longer active).

However, we really want these fantastic Societies to continue so we are allowing students to be co-opted into positions.

Co-opting is a process which empowers student group committees to fill the empty committee roles that could not be filled during the normal elections process with a smaller, simpler democratic vote.

We just need President and Treasurer as minimum,

To become committee member, email activities@gre.ac.uk for Greenwich or thehubmedway@greenwich.ac.uk for Medway with the role you wish to take, alongside other students and their roles if applicable.

Now's the chance to ask your friends or classmates if they will support you running a Society?

We will give 3 days grace after a student emails, to give other students a chance to get in touch - in the unlikely event we have two separate students want the same role, we will ask for a 200 word manifesto and GSU officer/staff will review.

It really is that simple... we would love to see you operating next academic year engaging with students, so we really hope that you are keen on taking the position of President of Treasurer of a Societ.
