Greenwich Mermaids rise to the top as Grand Champions

On the 24th February 2019, our very own Greenwich Mermaids became National Champions, coming 1st in their category, All-Girl Small Level 1. They then went on to then become Grand Champions meaning that the acquired the highest score out of all of the Level one teams that competed.

Jessica Motion, Greenwich Mermaids chair-lady says: ‘Getting zero deductions on our routine and winning National and Grand Champs was surreal. The competition team dedicates 5 hours a week to training and to have that hard-work recognised by winning those titles makes all those hours of training worth it. I am immensely proud of this team and what they have achieved.’

Cheerleading is a fantastic way to stay active, make friends and potentially try something new. This group of fabulous ladies are in the running to be the most successful Team Greenwich sports team this year!

Catch the Cheer team performing one of their fantastic routines at Varsity on the 27th March and we’re sure that the Sports Award will hold some wins for them too!

Well Done Mermaids!
