Hari Boddupally, one our your GSU Officers, has been selected for a unique programme taking place this month.
The Know India Programme (KIP) is an initiative of the Government of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, designed to help young people understand contemporary India and its rich cultural legacy, culture and heritage.
The programme comprises of 25 young scholars and professionals aged 18 – 28 from all over the globe. They are selected from a range of applications to spend two weeks in India to represent their country of residence, getting exposure to a range of areas including governance, innovation, science and economic development, alongside cultural and heritage experiences and visits across at least two States/Union Territories.
Hari’s application was selected through the High Commission of India in London and will be representing the UK in the programme from 18th – 31st October 2026.
Hari says, “For me personally, it is a really meaningful opportunity. I came to the UK as an international student and have had the chance to develop through student leadership and representation, particularly through Greenwich Students’ Union. I’m proud to take those experiences with me while representing the UK in an international programme like this.”
We look forward to hearing all about Hari’s experience when he returns; in the meantime, we wish him a great trip and safe travels!
