The LASE Leadership Academy is here!

We’re inviting students from the University of Greenwich and the University of Kent to join a six-week (online) leadership programme designed to inspire and equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead.   

What does the programme include?

The LASE Leadership Academy is a six-week leadership development programme for students from the Universities of Kent and Greenwich, designed to build the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead. 

Running across November, December, January and February, the programme combines online and in-person one-hour sessions, featuring exclusively designed content, practical activities and inspiring speakers from a range of backgrounds. Students will have opportunities in a peer environment to ask questions, share perspectives and develop their leadership journey together. 

Across the six sessions students will explore: 

• Intro to leadership: Discover your leadership style, identify your strengths and unlock your potential. 
• Finding your voice: Grow your confidence, embrace your identity and learn the power in your voice. 
• Making yourself heard: Develop your ability to communicate with impact to get yourself heard. 
• Keeping the plates spinning: Master the art of planning, prioritising and the skills to make things happen. 
• A meeting survival guide: Learn how to prepare, participate and make meetings work for you. 
• Taking the leap: Reflection, planning and leading yourself forward. 

Whether you're new to leadership or already developing your experience, the Leadership Academy provides a space to learn, connect and grow. You'll also be encouraged to explore opportunities to take on student leadership roles within the Students' Union, putting your skills and ideas into action. 

Who can apply? 

Current students studying at the Universities of Kent and Greenwich are eligible to apply for the LASE Leadership Academy. No previous leadership experience is required.

Sessions will take place online for one hour each week. Please only apply if you can commit to the full six-week programme.
