TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide an exceptional standard of service for the F&B team, practice excellent team work to maintain & deliver high standards.
  • Maintain a positive, friendly working environment.
  • Ensure the conditions of our premises license are strictly adhered to at all times.
  • Resetting the Restaurant/Bar at the end of the shift ready for the next service.
  • Confers with the Venue/Bar Supervisor concerning set-ups and last minute changes.
  • Take responsibility for an excellent guest experience in a safe efficient manner at all times.
  • Ensuring there is no shortage of supplies by managing orders and inventory.
  • Undertaking any other appropriate duties as deemed necessary.
  • Food preparation activities, including coffee making, cooking, washing, peeling and cutting.
  • Maintains a compete working knowledge of food and beverage menus, to be able to advise guests on selection and promote additional sales accordingly.
  • To attend work punctually, ensuring you present yourself in a smart professional manner (adhering to the company uniform policy) at all times whilst on company premises and never attend work under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances

STANDARDS OF SERVICE

  • Provide a professional, friendly & efficient service to all.
  •  Maintaining a clean and well-presented work area at all times.
  • Provide an efficient effective service to all, understanding their needs & requirements working to exceed these wherever possible.
  • Promotes additional sales by taking opportunities to up-sell, in manner that is professional and courteous
  • Prepare & serve all food & beverage items to a consistent high standard.
  • Ensure all products are properly & fully stocked throughout the shift, ensuring at the end of shift all products are secure.
  • Adhere to strict cash handling procedures, be familiar with credit/debit card procedures, and to carry out till operations reporting, any issues immediately report to a Team Leader.
  • Adhere to the Challenge 25 policy only accepting approved forms of ID for age verification
  • Clear & clean customer tables, making sure customer areas are kept clean at all times & to wash glasses and dishes as required.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL

  • To ensure operational procedures & agreed standards of cleanliness/hygiene are implemented, including practices stipulated by Licensing Legislation and Environmental Health.
  • To ensure that all food & beverage equipment is maintained in a clean and operational state before and after shifts and that it is secure.
  • To remove refuse following the correct procedure as and when required.
  • Responsible for cleanliness/hygiene and safety of all F&B areas/equipment in line with health and safety regulations.

STOCK MANAGEMENT

  • Assist in stock movement adhering to all relevant health & safety procedures.
  • Undertake stock rotation to ensure that the product reaches the customer in the highest possible quality. You may be required to move stock internally across the outlets to ensure that products are in the right place to meet customer demand.
  • Assist with internal stock & regular line checks of products as directed

SKILLS YOU WILL DEVELOP

  • Food and Beverage experience including bar, restaurant, lounge and function areas.
  • Knowledge of wine and associated food accompaniments.
  • Cash handling.
  • Planning and organising.
  • Team working.

TRAINING AVAILABLE

  • Formal hospitality qualification (if appropriate).
  • Specialist training applicable to the role
