Mindfulness Monday: How to Deal with Difficult Emotions

Event run by Greenwich Students' Union
Monday 07 February 2022
6pm - 7pm
Virtual - Zoom

In this workshop, we will explore the neurobiology of emotions (affect); what they are, how they present physically and mentally, and how we can work with them,

Emotions are instantaneous and normal human responses that want our attention so that we can act, and they can move through us. Yet many of us are taught that certain emotions are negative and shouldn’t be experienced or acknowledged. By ignoring them or repressing them, we suffer in our relationships, disconnect from our own bodies, and can ultimately make ourselves sick.

The workshop will involve some experiential mindfulness practices and a lecture.
