Open event for Group Leaders and Programme Reps to find out more about Student Assembly. Food and drink provided.

What is this event?
As a part of our Accessing Your Representation week, we will be hosting a DemocracyLunch to guide students through our new democracy structures this year. We highly encouraging programme reps and group leaders to attend to find our more about their role in the Student Assembly. 

A new frontier for democracy at GSU! 
Over a selection of food, discover how feedback gathered from representatives and community organisers will direct our new Student Assembly meetings, with the function to inform, analyse student issues and drive solutions into action for the student body. 

A new role for all student representatives!
All student representatives will have a crucial role in our new democratic system with online voting rights; to vote on all actions progressed through the student assembly.
*If you are a programme rep, exec member, group leader or faculty officer; you will be able to register to vote at the democracylunch.

Greenwich Students’ Union will be taking photos at the event. These images will be used by Greenwich Students’ Union to share news about this event and promote its future activities. Images may be used in press releases, printed publicly and published on the Greenwich Students’ Union website and social media. They will be stored securely and retained on file. We may also share the images with the University of Greenwich. If you would prefer for you or your child not to be photographed, please speak to our photographer at the event, or if you would like to see your images, or would like us to delete them, please email suwebsite@gre.ac.uk.

We will also be collecting your Student Number at some of our Welcome events to see who is attending, and we may ask for some feedback (in writing or in person. This is so we can tailor our future events and services to your needs.
