Welcome to the new academic year! We have a lot of exciting opportunities in the pipeline, but, we thought we'd kick off the year by introducing our new committee!

Firstly, meet Nathan, the President of the Society for this year. He's currently in his 3rd year of Paramedic Science BSc(hons) and will be based out of Sheppey. Outside of uni, he plays the drums in a heavy metal band! He has been working hard to get the society up and running!!

Next up is Kelsie, our Treasurer. She's also a third-year student paramedic and she's based out of Dartford and Thameside. She was an extra in a film about Princess Diana and she is also taking charge of the organisation of the summer ball this year in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church Paramedic Society!

Thirdly is Matt, our Continued Professional Development (CPD) Lead. He's also a third-year student paramedic and is also based out of Dartford and Thameside. He makes a great espresso martini and already has some exciting opportunities in store for the year!

Fourth is Layla, our Social Media Manager. She is a second-year student paramedic based out of Sheppey this year. She loves karate and is currently a 1st Dan Black Belt, she's also been smashing it on our Instagram page!

Fifth, is Hal, our events manager. He's a second-year student paramedic based out of Medway. He used to be a mechanic and is working hard to organise some amazing social events and making sure we all know where we are and when to be there!

Last but not least, we have Blake and Ruby, our first-year student reps who have just started their paramedic science course at the UoG. Blake is an ex-police officer, and Ruby has a background as an HR assistant supporting the KSS air ambulance charity.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any help or have any suggestions! Keep your eye on this page in the coming weeks as we get to grips with the society and start posting events!!

Stay tuned for more!
Matt
