WELCOME TO UOG WOMEN'S FOOTBALL CLUB
With Women's Football being one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, the University team is a great way to try out the sport, or dust off your boots and get back into it.
Each year we strive for success, growing our numbers, but also developing each individual player within the football industry. We are pleased to have strong connections with Charlton Athletic Football Club, with the Women's team using University of Greenwich to scout for players. Similarly, Charlton offer opportunities for our players to get involved through work experience and trips to The Valley.
Our team is not just about playing football, we aspire to create coaches, referees, managers, and photographers. If you are interested in being involved with the football industry, please let us know and we will support you in finding opportunities to get involved with.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?
Training days are Mondays at Avery Hill, between 6pm - 8pm. Home games are also played on Avery Hill, on Wednesday's, usually a 2pm kick off on the Astro turf pitches. We compete in Aldi Women's South Eastern Tier 4.
We post regular updates on our social media platforms, @greenwichwomensfootball, where you can find out what we are up to and how to get involved.
Our committee will always be around to answer any questions or queries regarding the team, and we look forward to meeting you throughout the year!
SOCIALS
Our socials are typically held on Wednesday evenings after a game, and is sometimes combined with other sports teams or societies to socialise with other clubs and make new friends! The socials vary from pre-drinking before a night out at Lower Deck, to games nights or team trips like bowling.
Socials are a great way to get to know the team, or just to have a good time with likeminded individuals. The club offers a social membership as well as a player membership, so anyone can join in!
