Who are we?

Do these sound familiar? ⏬

📊 "I chose psychology, not maths."

🫂 "I want to help people."

💼 "How will this help me get a job?"

🤝 "I joined the society to meet people."

Then this might be the place for you!

Who we are: 🙌

We are fellow psychology students who were once in the same place as you are, anxious about statistics and starting higher education - and came out more in love with the subject than before!

Using SPSS and understanding research methodology can be scary, especially if you like psychology more for it's theories and concepts than statistics and data. But we are here to help!

We created this society to address all of those thoughts. It's a place to answer all your questions if you're lost, or just alone.

What we do: 📝

We are an academic society with a sprinkle of fun. We will primarily host weekly sessions where students can come together and chat, or collaborate together on anything they are battling with.

But you can also catch us planning:

👩‍💼 Host Speakers - Professionals who studied what you have

📚 Mock Experiments - Fun sessions where we try to use research methods on our own in a fun, relatable way

📔 Practice Lectures - Opportunities for students to practice while improving their public speaking skills

🧩 Ice Breaking Events - Times where we students just get to chill, meet fellow students and have fun

Take your time deciding what you want to do. But the Research Methods Society will be here, whenever you need it 💫

For any queries or questions, please check back later as our social media drops!
