Our Programme Representatives and Executive Representatives are here to ensure your academic interests are understood by the Students’ Union and made clear to the University.

You can influence the University by talking to your Programme Reps, or writing to your Programme Leader/Head of School.

Become a Programme Rep!


Programme Reps are students who are appointed to represent you and your views on academic matters relating to your course. They act as the link between students and the academic staff on each course, ensuring the student voice is being heard and positive changes are being made in every department.

Roles and Responsibilities

To apply for a Programme Rep position, candidates must:

Programme Representatives are recruited year-round!

We are looking for the Student Leaders who will represent students academic interests and empower students to become their best! ​There are a load of reasons to become a Programme Rep from the desire to create lasting positive change or even just wanting to boost your CV.

Representative Executive Commitee


A member of the Representative Executive Committee, or Rep Exec for short, is a student leader responsible for representing the interests and concerns of students within their specific school at university. The role entails hosting student drop-in sessions with Sabbatical Officers, feedback collection, event planning and attending relevant meetings, such as one meeting per term with their coordinator.

This role is based on application and recruitment to this Committee will occur in September, October, January and February. To join this Committee, you must have experience in being a Rep.
