Womens History Month

Women’s History Month 2026. Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.

Women's History Month is celebrated each year during the month of March.

It brings to light the contributions of women to events in history - it is a time to reflect on the progress that has been made towards gender equality and the work that still needs to be done to achieve it. March also encompasses International Women’s Day, celebrated on 8th March each year.

During March this year, there are lots of events happening at Medway, as well as at your Home Unions. On our instagram page we will be sharing activities and stories celebrating Women's History Month. We also have 'This Girl Can' running during March, please see our events listing page here. If you're interested in hosting an event relevant to this campaign or starting a society, please contact us by email - thehubmedway@greenwich.ac.uk.
