Muhammad Abdulmumin – GSU President

“From crunching numbers in BSc Mathematics to now leading the Students' Union, I’m here to represent every voice, from lecture halls to library corners.”

Abdulmumin's journey to the presidency wasn't just about numbers, it was about leadership, passion, and a genuine desire to make a difference. As a Mathematics student, his sharp focus, dedication, and quiet strength have always set him apart. But it was his peers who saw his potential even before he did.

Elected by his fellow students, Abdulmumin is now ready to lead GSU with a mission to ensure every voice on campus is heard. His motivation to run for President was sparked by the encouragement and support of his friends, who saw the leadership qualities in him that he hadn't fully recognized himself. They gave him the confidence to step up, and now, he's determined to create a legacy that will impact GSU for years to come.

For Abdulmumin, this role isn't just about influence, it's about creating real, tangible change. He's committed to building an inclusive, student-first environment where everyone feels represented and empowered.

His vision for the year ahead is clear: to ensure that every student's voice has a place at the table and to create an environment where students can thrive personally and professionally.Whether it's advocating for student needs or simply being a dependable voice in times of uncertainty, Abdulmumin is driven by the belief that leadership isn't just about leading,  it's about listening.

Hari Boddupally – GSU Officer

“I’m passionate about making sure every student, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, feels seen, heard, and supported.”

Meet Hari, an international Master’s student who’s making waves at Greenwich with his commitment to fighting for students who often feel overlooked. Hari’s journey started in Medway, where he noticed a lack of engagement and knew something needed to change. His goal as an officer is simple: to ensure that every student, no matter their background or campus, feels included and empowered.

His focus as an officer is clear: to rebuild connections between campuses, increase student engagement, and make sure no one is left behind. Whether it’s through improving student feedback systems, advocating for more opportunities at Medway, or creating a stronger sense of community, Hari is all about making sure that students feel supported both academically and socially.

Hari’s also passionate about tackling mental health issues, career support, and providing a platform for all students to express their concerns. His mission is to ensure every voice is heard and that students, especially those in underrepresented communities, have the opportunities they deserve.

Saif Chanchol – GSU Officer

“I’m here to create smarter, faster, and more inclusive student support systems that work for YOU.”

Meet Saif, a Computer Science student with a mission to make student life smoother, fairer, and more accessible for everyone. Saif believes that student support systems should be built around ''YOU '' making sure they’re efficient, inclusive, and responsive to your needs.

As an officer, his focus is on creating a streamlined, one-stop hub for all things student life, so you don’t have to go through hoops to get the support you need. Whether it's improving feedback systems, advocating for safer spaces, or pushing for better resit processes, Saif is all about making sure the student experience is as smooth and accessible as possible.

Whether it’s pushing for a smoother resit process, advocating for better student feedback systems, or tackling safety and well-being issues, Saif is here to make sure every voice is heard and that no student is left behind.

His goal is to create a more connected, supportive, and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

Chirag Ahuja – GSU Officer

“Building a community where culture, identity, and connection matter is what drives me.”

Meet Chirag, one of the newest faces in the GSU team, passionate about making sure every student feels part of the larger Greenwich community. A MSc Accounting and Finance student, Chirag’s motivation to run for officer came from his personal experience as a student, he knows firsthand the challenges that come with balancing study, work, and feeling truly connected to campus life.

Chirag is all about creating a sense of belonging and breaking down barriers between students from different cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. He believes that celebrating each other’s festivals, sharing different traditions, and building friendships across borders makes everyone’s university experience richer. For him, it’s about fostering connections that go beyond the classroom and creating a community that celebrates diversity.

His focus as an officer is clear: improving student engagement, advocating for better management of sports facilities, and ensuring that students have a better work-life balance.
