Greenwich Students' Union (GSU) is proud to announce that we are the lead partner for the students' unions (SUs) based at Medway.

There are three Universities that operate at the Medway campus - the University of Kent, the University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University - and students' union activity for all of those universities had been lead by Kent Union through Greenwich and Kent Students' Union.

Last year there was a consultation between the Universities and their Unions - GSU, Kent Union and Christ Church Students' Union - to discuss the Medway campus and the partnership between SUs. Looking at various pieces of data and student feedback, the review concluded that the best experience for Medway students would be to transfer activity and legal duties from Kent Union to Greenwich Students' Union for the 2021/22 academic year and beyond.

The students' unions at Medway will continue to support Greenwich students who make up the majority of students on the Medway campus. In addition, the partnership will continue to have input from Kent Union and Christ Church Students' Union to ensure their students based at Medway continue to be supported and have access to a range of activities to enhance their student experience. This includes access to free and independent advice, student groups, activities such as Give It A Go, representation, and continue running The Deep End for great food, drink and entertainment.

Greenwich Students' Union's will continue the message that #WeAreMedway to ensure everyone continues to feel part of the Medway community.

GSU Officer Aatika Ayoub will be leading on Medway within her remit to ensure Greenwich students in the Engineering and Science Faculty are fully supported also.

GSU aims to provide an excellent service for students at Avery Hill, Greenwich and Medway. As always, students are at the heart of everything that we do and your opinion is important to us. If you have any feedback you can send it to us on our feedback form.
