Throughout the BUCS season, Team Greenwich and Medway clubs have been competing across both BUCS league and cup competitions. While our teams have enjoyed strong performances in their respective leagues, this year’s cup campaigns have been particularly impressive.

Greenwich Men’s Basketball and Medway Women’s Basketball both progressed to the quarter-finals before narrowly exiting the competition. Meanwhile, Greenwich Netball, Men’s Football, and Rugby all secured places at the BUCS Southeastern Finals Day, held at Surrey Park on 11th March.

Greenwich Men’s Football entered the final following an outstanding season, facing UCL in what was expected to be a closely contested match. The team delivered a dominant performance, securing a convincing 5–1 victory to cap off a remarkable campaign. Congratulations to the Men’s Football team on an excellent achievement.

Rugby and Netball were unable to secure victories in their respective finals, both teams delivered strong and competitive performances. The Netball team narrowly lost 41–37 in a closely fought match against the University of the Arts London.

Greenwich Rugby also faced UCL in a hard-fought contest. Despite competing throughout the match, the team ultimately fell short against a strong UCL side.

Overall, the day represented a significant achievement for Team Greenwich and highlighted the continued progress and development of our clubs in recent years.
