The Law Society is open to all students who have an interest in law!

At the Law Society, we welcome any student that has an interest in law, you do not need to be studying law to be part of our group! We have many events planned for this year and we really think it will be a lot of fun. The Law Society tries to provide a range of opportunities to students, to ensure they know what career path they want to go down after University has finished.

Every year the Law Society organises a trip abroad which allows students to develop a deeper understanding of an area of law.  In April 2018, the Law Society went to Strasbourg and even had the opportunity to meet the French President, Emmanuel Macron! This year the Committee agreed that it would be a nice change to visit The Netherlands and see what Amsterdam and the Hague have to offer! 16 Students will be attending the trip in April and are all excited to visit the International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice! 

On the 17th of June, six members of the Law Society took part in the London Legal Walk which is a yearly event where people come together to raise money for Legal Aid. It was a brilliant event, that loads of people took part in and was a fun experience getting to socialise with solicitor firms and barrister chambers. There was also a street party at the end!
