BAME Society

The BAME Society strives to support University of Greenwich’s (UoG’s) students of African, Caribbean, Arab, Asian and other Minority ethnic (BAME) descent.

Who are we?

We are a social platform which actively participates and supports events by the University of Greenwich Students’ Union. We hold events, meetings and activities relating to the diverse social, cultural, religious, professional and academic interests and needs of our members.                                        

Aims & Objectives

  • Build an academic voice to represent UOG BAME students, promote equality and diversity.

  • Encourage a stronger ‘voice’ and representation of BAME students in the UoG’s and Greenwich Students’ Union.?

  • Create a safe, informative community for BAME students by holding events and activities pertaining to academic, socio-cultural and professional interests.

  • Develop a BAME welfare community which aims to support our BAME students in dealing with academic, social and professional concerns.

  • Develop BAME political awareness and interest in socioeconomic and sociocultural issues in the wider community.

  • Increase BAME students' participation in extra-curricular activities in and out of the university.
