That's why Greenwich Students' Union (GSU) is inviting students to nominate themselves to become one of five Liberation Network Chairs for the 2026–27 academic year.
Liberation Network Chairs are student leaders who represent and advocate for communities that have historically been underrepresented in higher education. Working closely with GSU, they help ensure that student voices are heard, support campaigns and events, and contribute to creating a more inclusive university experience.

These are leadership positions that offer students the opportunity to develop valuable skills alongside their studies, including leadership, communication, campaigning, project management and public speaking.
Whether you're passionate about improving accessibility, promoting equality, creating supportive communities or ensuring students feel represented, becoming a Liberation Network Chair gives you the platform to make a meaningful impact.
The role also provides a unique opportunity to work with GSU staff, contribute to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion discussions, lead initiatives that matter to students, and gain experience that can strengthen your CV and future career prospects.
