Join us for our first public UoG Jamz ’N’ Motion event, Vocal Playground: a beginner-friendly creative group session workshop built around acapella, beatboxing, dancing, and singing-songwriting, with hip-hop inspired themes. It’s designed to be a relaxed, welcoming way to meet new people, build confidence, express your creative and musical side, and leave with real connections, even if you’ve never done anything like this before. You can drop-in/drop-out of the event at anytime.

The first half is a guided workshop with fun group activities and mini-collabs where you can experiment with rhythm, dancing, vocals, writing, and simple performance ideas at your own pace. There’s absolutely no pressure so you can jump in fully, take it slow, or just vibe and observe until you feel comfortable.

The second half turns into an in-room karaoke icebreaker social. This is your chance to loosen up, dance, sing solo or with others, join group songs, and keep the bonding going in a low-pressure way. Duets and group choruses are encouraged, and you can take part as much or as little as you want.

Date, Times and Locations:

3:30PM-9:30PM on Friday 20th February 2026 at The Boardroom (Dreadnought Building, Ground Floor, (015,024,025))

First half is the Workshop. Second half is the Karaoke Icebreaker Social.

Post-Event Social: 9:30PM onwards, we make our way to The Gate Clock (Wetherspoons) or The Lost Hour, near Greenwich Station.

Beginner-friendly. Come solo, bring a friend, or bring your whole group. You can drop-in/drop-out of the event at anytime.
