In collaboration with 01C (Zero One Creative), we are organising a Game Jam with the chance for the winning team to have a free access for 6 months to Amara and it's plugin.
We will start with a speaker session, followed by the revealing of the theme and the start of the Game Jam. The session will consist in the following order:
Speaker Session:
- The way interactive 3D worlds are built is changing, and Ashkan Dabbagh, founder and CEO of 01C, will give a talk about these industry shifts in his company: one of the first AI-native tools for 3D scene generation that lives directly inside Unreal Engine. The structure will be the following:
1. His Journey: From the National Film and Television School to Warner Bros, Amazon Studios, Oxford AI research, and a startup of his own, Ashkan traces the path that led him to start a startup.
2. AI & Workflows: His perspective on how AI is already reshaping the way game environments at big studios are made, and why human creativity remains irreplaceable at the centre of it all.
3. Q&A: open floor for questions (technical, creative, industry, or career)
4. Live Demo & Game Jam Workshop: Hands-on access to the platform and its Unreal Engine plugin. Try it yourself, get direct support from Ashkan, and leave fully prepared to use the tool in Friday's Game Jam.

- Start of the GameJam
During the game jam every participant will receive Amara credits for the duration of the Game Jam (usable across both the Amara Mesh Generator and the Amara Unreal Engine plugin for full scene generation). Participants will also need to join our Discord channel to ask plugin-related questions during the jam. We recommend installing the plugin (or accessing Amara) the day before, as the asset pack may take a little time to load. Note, the pluging works on Unreal Engine version 5.7 onwards, so if intended to use it on you own machine, install that version for Unreal Engine. Using Amara is optional.
Winner prize: 6 months of Amara Team access for every member of the winning team (worth £300 per person).
On-site support: Ashkan and one other team member will be on site Friday morning and Saturday afternoon.
