Welcome Back

From the Lower Deck team

How are we keeping our venue Covid-secure?

Greeted and seated
On arrival, there will be clear instructions for you and your guests to wait for a staff member to greet and seat you. Please be patient with us during this time as it may take a couple of minutes for them to find a suitable table if you haven't made a booking in advance.

Walk ins

There will be a limited number of tables available for walk ins. If we happen to be at full capacity we will have to turn you away which we really don’t want to do! To avoid this please book online!

Sanitising stations
We will have sanitising stations at both the entrance and exit to the venue that customers must use when arriving and exiting.
PPE for our staff
The Lower Deck is providing PPE for its staff as well ensuring they have had the relevant Health & Safety and hygiene training for COVID-19.
Perspex screens
We have installed Perspex screens around the bar area to ensure there is protection for both staff and customer.
Table service only
To minimise customer and staff interaction we are providing table service. We have partnered with Wi5 to allow for table ordering from your phone. More information will be provided on your visit to the Lower Deck. Staff will also be able to come to your table to take your order too.
Social distancing measures in place
We have an in and out system in place to ensure customer interaction is minimalised as well as roped off pathways to ensure bottle necking is avoided at entrances and exits. All tables are a minimum of 2m apart and will seat a maximum of 6 per table. We have signage around the venue to remind customers to adhere to current social distancing guidelines.
Track and trace
We have partnered with Sprout to provide a track and trace system for the Lower Deck. It is in the form of a QR code that will be located on your table. One of your party will need to scan the code and enter their details for track and trace.
We have separated an area of the bar for collection for those that want to have takeaway. There is signage on the floor for queuing and an in and out system for customers to follow.
The Lower Deck will be taking bookings for both student and staff from the 14th September. Please head to our bookings webpage detailing your name, time, party size and preferred location (if you want to sit outside for example). Please make sure to check the weather before booking outside. Max 6 people per booking. All bookings must be made and confirmed 48 hours in advance. If you are later than 15 minutes after your booking time you may risk losing your table.

Change has moved from upstairs down into the Saloon bar area of the Lower Deck. This is to ensure we can adhere to social distancing guidelines whilst still operating Change. On arrival to the Lower Deck there will be signage taking you to the new Change location as well as a small seating area you can use. Ordering to go will be running as normal.
