External Hire

Hire our venue

The Lower Deck is available for external hire on weekends. We can host birthday drinks, dinners, talks, presentations, and celebratory parties alike! We have a range of spaces available and can cater your event too. Download our External Bookings pack to see our layout and venue hire information.

To book the venue, click here to email our Events Manager (m.j.rothwell@gre.ac.uk) and let them know when you would like your booking, and they will get in touch with you to get more details.

The Lower Deck is part of Greenwich Students’ Union, and all money made in the venue goes back into the Union. By booking with us, you’re helping us provide services and activities for students at the University of Greenwich.

Terms and conditions:

External hires in the Lower Deck are available on weekends only.
All bookings must be for the full bar.
The charge for full bar hire is £1,500 (inclusive of VAT) with any food/drink costs on top.
Hire times are between 12pm to 12am (later openings times are offered but subject to availability)
All bookings must be confirmed four weeks before event date, with venue hire and any corkage fees paid in full.
The venue can hold up to 500 people due to its capacity; up to 500 people can be catered to for all events also.
The venue has DJ booth and live music capabilities which are available for use during hires.
All food and drink must be purchased from Lower Deck for external hires. If you do wish to use an external caterer, please flag this on your enquiry so that we can work out how to facilitate this in the venue. There is a corkage fee of £250 per hour for external catering.
