#Vote4Mon if change is what you want.

Hi, I’m Monique, second year Accounting and Finance student. I am currently the treasurer for the African and Caribbean Society (ACS) as I wanted to enhance students’ experince. I’m running to be a NUS delegate to represent the 20,000 students of Greenwich in hope, that I can make a powerful change at this university.

Let’s work together so I can make this the best experience for YOU.

Nationalisation of Education

-NUS has created a campaign in order to support the increased funding for public education at all levels.

- Decreases our heavy yearly loans.

BAME Attainment Gap

-The fact is there is a higher percentage of white students (77.1%) who achieve a 2:1 or above compared to BAME students (61.7%).

-I believe the policies in place within the NUS are too relaxed and they are not making much progress as it stands.

- Most students aren’t aware of the size of this gap and it needs to be showcased and taught more.

No to No Deal Brexit

-The NUS has found out that 75% of students voted to remain in the EU in the first referendum.

-They have made it known that if there was to be a second referendum, the government should highly consider the student vote as this affects our future a lot more.

- Our university itself is a very diverse community and with no deal this can affect many of our students and staff.
