Every year, your Students Union commits considerable time and effort into coordinating a Freshers Fortnight that welcomes new and returning students to the University of Greenwich. It’s a fortnight designed to kick off your year in style!
The Freshers Fairs are major highlights of the fortnight. They are held at the Avery Hill campus (Tuesday 22nd September), the Medway campus (Wednesday 23rd September) and the Greenwich campus (Thursday 24th September).
With the huge increases SUUG has seen in student engagement and in societies’ and sports clubs’ memberships also growing, the Freshers Fairs have been getting bigger and better each year, offering a prime opportunity for new and returning students alike to find out, in person, exactly what their Students’ Union has to offer.
This September, we have acknowledged the huge expansions made over the last few years and have secured space outside of some of the main University buildings on the grass between King William Court and the Dreadnought Building and also inside the Sports Hall and surrounding area at Avery Hill. Moving out of what were relatively limited spaces gives us more room for significant expansion of our internal and external stalls. That means we can finally fit more interactive and fun stuff at Greenwich! Superb.
Oh, not to mention the free stuff! Hearing the feedback from last year, we have upped our game and spent a lot more time ensuring we get a nice range of free stuff to give away. I’m not saying too much about that just now, but it promises to be the best ever.
Hope you’re as excited as we are!
