Hey, I’m Lily, a third-year student studying Sociology and Criminology. I am an active student representative for the Sociology course as well as the treasurer for the Sociology Society. I want to become your GSU officer because I want to make the University an environment you enjoy.

#1 Mental health

  • Mental health and wellbeing support will continue to be a matter of importance next year.
  • I will increase fun and helpful stress-busting activities online and in person.
  • I will form collaborative relationships with the administration to get waiting times down to provide you with the support needed.
  • Increase the engagement with mental health charities such as Mind.

#2 Student experience

  • I will be looking into transport options for Greenwich, Medway, and Avery Hill Students, aiming to improve transport hours to different campuses.
  • I will work with the team to investigate options in improving communication between staff, departments, student communications, and timetabling.
  • I will work towards providing opportunities and skills to prime you for work.

#3 Liberation

  • I will raise awareness around the importance of equality for all, this includes Women, BAME, LGBTQ+, people with disability and people of faith.
  • I will further your concerns to find solutions for all matters.
  • I will co-operate with the university in providing safe spaces and awareness for all students.

#4 Student Voice

  • Your voice matters.
  • I will continue to provide students platforms so that you can be heard.
  • I will fight for you, your voice, your wants and your needs.
