Rabin Adhikari

Hiya! I am Rabin Adhikari, and I am studying BSc. Economics.

I have been a student staff and I am currently working as a friendly Student Ambassador to help Fresher’s in their first week and continuing students with their queries. I am also an active member of Rethinking Economics Society Greenwich.

Focus Areas

- If elected, I will make sure that students' voices are heard by communicating with both students and the SU team about the campaigns and issues that are important to them. This includes voting for the committee representatives that students want, as well as consulting on the policies and reports that students believe best represent their interests.

- I will take a stance on decolonizing education in higher education. This provides students with an unbiased understanding of our current system by incorporating materials from various schools of thought that provide a clear understanding of modern-day issues such as housing, homelessness, climate change, black history, and much more.

- I would make certain and take steps to ensure that the University of Greenwich and the Greenwich Student Union collaborate closely with other Student Unions in developing and combining (compositing) policy proposals that benefit students.

- I will work closely with University of Greenwich and officers of SU in helping students with affordable housing, on-campus employment, mental health support and career mentoring. All in all, I will represent University of Greenwich students (regardless of year or course type) from a variety of backgrounds, including gender, race, social class, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.
