FOR CHANGE THAT’S REAL, VOTE NIEL’S DEAL

NUS is soon to be 100 years old. For a whole century now, our student movement has been fighting for justice across the world. From helping to end the South African apartheid, to tenancy deposit protections schemes protecting renter’s rights in the UK, the National Union of Students is crucial.

1. Decolonisation

I will support the cause to decolonise universities at the National Conference. I gave a speech at the Student’s Deserve Better Rally during the 2021 NUS conference this year explaining decolonisation and why it is important that we AXE INTERNATIONAL FEES as part of our movement to end neo-colonialism.

2. Halal Student Loans

Alternative, Halal Student Finance to allow equal access to university for Muslim students who can’t make use of the traditional student loans system due to interest is extremely important in contributing to the creation of a world where we all have equality of opportunity. I will make this case at the conference on behalf of our Muslim brotherhood and sisterhood at Greenwich and across the UK.

3. Climate Change & General Election 2024

The delegates we send to the coming conference will have an impact on the upcoming general election because, come next March, they will be voting in the next National Student Officers who will have the power to elevate student concerns during the 2024 election. Vote for me and I will ensure that our next National Officers put CLIMATE CHANGE at the heart of their campaigns.

4. Liberation

I was elected by the NUS Black student’s caucus to the national liberation steering committee at the last National Conference. Representatives across the UK put their trust in me to lead the cause for liberation and I hope you will too!

3. NUS Scrutiny Council – I hold the NUS national officers to account.

4. Group Leader – President of our thriving Model United Nations society

5. NUS Delegate 20/21
