1. Get Better on Avery Hill
For nurses, this means oxygen tanks in the walls and responsive mannequins for practicing on. For students doing IT related degrees, you shouldn't have to go all the way to Greenwich to use modelling and design software; I want it available on Southwood site and if you vote for me I'll lobby the university to do just that.
2. Get Serious on the NUS
It's something most of us don't think about, but according to the Independent, Guardian, and Guido Fawkes news sites, the NUS on the verge of bankrpucy. I'm genuinely worried that this could be an impending disaster and I don't believe that this financial catastrophe should be allowed to affect us.
3. Help Out Our Student Staff
I work in 2 jobs alongside my studies to keep myself alive so I know how hard it is for students who have to work part time. That's why I believe the students union should have the best jobs going in town. If you vote for me I would like to explore how we can raise wages of part time student staff from simple minimum wage to a real living wage.
4. Throw the Winter Ball
We have the amazing painted hall on our campus, and it seems such a waste to not use it for something! If elected, I want to throw a big winter ball in the hall, with ice sculptures, special guests, music and dancing all night. It'll be the biggest night in the student calendar!
