Bringing Passion, Transparency and Trust to FLAS.

I am running to be one of your Faculty Officers because I am passionate about everyone being the best they can and believe we can achieve so much more by working together. I know that studying within FLAS can be daunting; there are just too many paths to choose from, right?

Greenwich is a brilliantly diverse university and that’s why my campaign focuses on the notion of working together.

As your Faculty Officer I will campaign for:

Employability:

  • More careers fairs focusing on our faculty. Everybody should have the opportunity to explore their passion (or find out what it is!).
  • Awareness of activities such as volunteering, societies and sports that are available. We all have the ability to develop skills outside our course, sometimes we just need a little nudge!

Communication:

  • The use of social media to create a platform for our student reps to be recognised ensuring integration throughout our faculty.
  • I will take time to meet with all courses to keep communication flowing between you, your student reps and your faculty officers. By sending out surveys, holding course shout-outs and more, everybody’s voice will be heard.

Integration:

  • We can all learn so much from one another. I want to encourage interaction within the faculty through advice forums, Facebook groups and academic societies. University teaches us academic development but let’s explore it in a more social environment!
  •

As the Chairlady for hockey, I know what it takes to be a leader and a team player. I know first-hand that for something to be successful we must be passionate, communicate with one another and work together as a team.

Together we can make FLAS the best we can be; vote for me to be at the forefront of a faculty-wide change.
