I want to continue to grow and strengthen the relationship between the Students’ Union and students as I feel I have made a great start over the past year as VPSA and I have seen first-hand the effect it has on students. Please look at what I have achieved over the past 8 months. I hope you will all agree, that I have made many positive contributions to Greenwich Students’ Union since being elected as a full-time officer.
I’ve had 1 to 1’s with numerous student groups so I know what challenges our students face. This is why I believe I am the best person to continue working on implementing positive changes that will enhance the overall student experience at Greenwich. Having been in post for a year now, I have experience and in depth understanding of the way things work, and how best to utilize the resources and expertise on offer to get the best deal for our students. I already have strong relationships with students and staff alike which can only help in the role of an officer.
Some of the student priorities that I’d like to work on include:
- Promoting and widening activities on offer
- Developing social spaces
- Course based social events
- Socialization and integration
- Student group support and development
I feel like these are the right priorities to be working on and intend to work on this across all 3 campuses to benefit ALL students.
What I have done that will aid me in this role:
- Vice President Student Activities (Full Time Officer)
- Team Greenwich Executive Committee
- Student Council
- Programme Rep
- Men’s Rugby Captain and committee member for 2 years.
