Vote for a better Greenwich Campus - Vote for me!
My name is Michela Resta and I am a 2nd year Commercial Law Student studying on the Greenwich Campus.
I immerse myself in every aspect of University life including being an active member of the Student Union with roles such as:
Academic representative for my cohort, Member of the Welfare Council, Senior student ambassador, Member of Netball society.
I spend a lot of time at Greenwich campus not only showing my commitment to a cause - namely improving Greenwich campus for ALL, but also that I am familiar with the protocols to get things done.
Enough about me - What can I change for YOU?
- Primarily - Improve the community ethos of the campus by improving social spaces - namely creating more social space than just the ground floor of the Library ensuring allocation of space in the new SU building for social!
- Also improve collaborations with companies to get more freebees and event on campus – Like the M&S sandwich van event or the Spotify event at fresher’s fair.
- Create facilities to warm food ect on campus - for example a microwave as currently if you would like hot food you have to buy it and after all we are students
- I also would like to create accountability for repairs done on campus –e.g when lifts are broken it may be impossible for some students to get to lectures yet there is no accountability or time scale for this.
These are my main manifesto points but in my role I will use each and every voice to help make the campus better for all.
