Making life simpler for student groups
My name is Mark and I believe being a part of a University of Greenwich student group is a vital part of being at University, allowing you to grow as an individual and have the potential to meet some amazing people, who could become your best friends!
As VPSA I am committed to delivering the best service to student groups so that members have the best experience possible. One of the ways I am looking to do this is to make the bridge between members of the SU staff and members of student group committee’s smaller; being a part of multiple sports team committee’s over my time at the university, including: Secretary and Vice President for the Greenwich Mariners and Social Sec of the Lacrosse team has gained me an understanding of the processes that are necessary to gain things needed for running the student group. These tend to be very arduous, which would frustrate the student group. If you elect me as VPSA I promise to do my utmost to revise and make these processes quicker and more convenient.
However, I understand that joining a student group can seem like a leap of faith, with many not even knowing about the variety of teams and societies available to them, or that they have the power to start one themselves if they feel it will benefit the students! As your VPSA I will make it my personal duty to provide suitable and equal representation for all student groups who feel they require it. I feel this will boost the involvement with student life and boost the Team Greenwich morale!
