I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the position of Student Union Officer. My name is Farhan Sadiq. Currently in my final year of BSc in Finance and Investment Banking. As a dedicated member of this prestigious institution, I promise to look out for every student’s wants and interests. Although running for the position of Greenwich Student Union Officer, I was elected as Programme Representative of Finance and Investment Banking and got the AFE student award for teamwork of working seamlessly with others to achieve common goals. My goals for our student body are growth, empowerment and openness to everyone. If I am elected, I promise to work hard to make our university a lively and welcoming place for everyone.

• Job Boards and Listings: Establish a centralized job board where local businesses, on campus departments and community organizations can post part time jobs specifically targeted towards students.
• Cultural Exchange Events: Host cultural exchange events where international students can share their cultures, traditions and experiences with the broader student body for cross cultural understanding and appreciation.
• Peer Mentoring Programs: Where new international student can interact with returning international or domestic student for the guidance and assistance with academic and social integration.
• Language Support Services: Offer English language conversation groups, writing workshops and language proficiency.

#Professional Skills Development:

• Offer Workshop and Seminars: For the development of essential professional skills such as networking, public speaking, negotiation and financial literacy.

• Green Events and Awareness Campaigns: By incorporating eco- friendly practices such as waste reduction, recycling, composting and using biodegradable materials.
