Hello everyone,

I am Zeynep, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of GSU Officer. As a dedicated member of the University community, studying Computer Science, and actively involved in the Student Union, I am passionate about advocating for our collective interests and enhancing the student experience at Greenwich.

I am committed to representing the diverse voices and experiences of students across all campuses of the University of Greenwich. Whether you're studying at the Greenwich Campus, Medway Campus, or Avery Hill Campus, as well as our international students, your concerns and aspirations matter to me. I pledge to be an inclusive and accessible representative for all students.

Enhancing Academic Support: I will work to improve academic support services by advocating for extended library hours, facilitating peer tutoring programs, and ensuring transparent and equitable grading policies across all faculties.

Promoting Mental Health and Well-being: I will prfioritize mental health and well-being initiatives by advocating for increased access to counselling services, promoting mindfulness programs, and organising stress-relief events throughout the academic year.

Fostering a Sense of Community: I will promote a sense of belonging and community by organising campus-wide social events, fostering collaboration between different student clubs and societies, and creating spaces for meaningful interactions among students from diverse backgrounds.

My decision to run for this role is fuelled by my passion for making a positive impact and addressing the issues that matter most to our student community at the University of Greenwich. With my background in Computer Science and my active involvement in the Student Union, I am dedicated to serving as a strong advocate for student needs and concerns.

What sets my campaign apart is my commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to enhance student engagement and accessibility. Through the integration of digital platforms and interactive initiatives, I aim to create a dynamic and inclusive campaign that resonates with students across all campuses of the University of Greenwich.

I understand the importance of setting realistic and achievable goals. Each of my manifesto pledges is grounded in practical solutions and actionable steps. I am committed to transparency and accountability, and will regularly update students on the progress of my initiatives while actively seeking input and feedback.

I am excited about the opportunity to represent you and make a meaningful difference in our university experience at the University of Greenwich. Together, we can create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community that empowers all students.
