    Nominations are open for any Greenwich student to stand for election for either a Full-Time Officer (paid) or a NUS Conference Delegate (unpaid).

    If you have nominated yourself as a candidate early on to run in the GSU Elections, get yourself prepared for the election by attending our early bird briefing and training.

  • Manifesto drop in sessions

    In order to help candidates write their manifestos, we are holding various manifesto drop-in sessions for anyone who would like a second opinion and guidance on their manifesto.

    For candidates based in Medway, we are holding a candidate briefing and training session in GK Unions. This compulsory session will go over all the information you need, tips/tricks to campaigning and training sessions on how to get students to vote for you.

    This networking session is an opportunity to find out more about how you will work with the staff team if elected.

    For candidates based at Avery Hill, this is an opportunity to find out the information you need to know in order to run in the GSU Elections. Please note this is only a briefing and not the compulsory training.

    All candidates must finish their manifesto at this time and date in order to ensure it is featured in our manifesto booklet we give out to students during the elections.

    For candidates based in Greenwich, we are holding a candidate briefing and training session in Dreadnought.  This compulsory session will go over all the information you need, tips/tricks to campaigning and training sessions on how to get students to vote for you.

    Need some space to make your signposts, billboards, banners and posters? We've got a room booked for you to use to make these things and all the materials you might need.

    candidates will be allowed to spread the word they are running through posters, leafleting, talks with student groups and lecture shoutouts. We encourage all candidates to visit every campus and will be providing free bus tickets to and from Medway campus.

  • Facebook live GSU Officer candidate question time

    wednesday 26 february,

    3.45pm-6pm

    (Dreadnought, Greenwich)

    This will be an online Question Time for candidates to be asked questions from students about how they will address their issues and queries. There will be no audience in the room, but it will be streamed live.

  • Medway (GK UNions) GSU Officer videos  

    monday 24 February, 4pm deadline

    All Full-Time Officer candidates can make a 45 second video on why Medway students should vote for them in the election. Videos need to be sent to democracy@gkunions.co.uk. videos will be played online and on screens in the GK Unions building.
