FLaT is the University of Greenwich's newest society for anyone curious about finance, law, or the technology reshaping both. We're not just for students on a related course. Whether you're aiming for a career in the City, weighing up your options, or simply want to leave university better equipped to read a contract or understand your payslip, there's something here for you.
We run our sessions around three areas: how technology is changing financial services, how it's changing legal practice, and the everyday financial and legal knowledge that's genuinely useful regardless of what you study. Expect practical workshops, social events, and speakers drawn from across all three fields.
We're a founding committee this year, which means there's a real opportunity to help shape what FLaT becomes, not just join something that already exists. We're actively looking for people to take on committee roles, but you don't need to commit to anything to come along. Drop into a session, meet the people running it, and see if it's for you!
