Statement about London Bridge incident from GSU Officers

Statement about London Bridge incident from GSU Officers

As your GSU Officers, we recognise that the recent act of terrorism on London Bridge may have an impact on the lives of our students here at Greenwich. We would like to support all of our students who are grieving at the attacks.

We understand that there may also be spikes of hate crime as a result of the London Bridge event. We would like to highlight our Safe Space Policy which aims to protect the welfare of students on campus. We would also recommend downloading the SafeZone app, this allows you to contact University Security immediately.

You can also report any hate crime to the police. If it is an emergency dial 999, otherwise you can report the crime by calling 101.

Greenwich Students’ Union would like to remind you of our Advice Service during this time. Our professional advice is free and independent from the University of Greenwich. Our Advisers are here to listen to you whatever your concerns may be.

Yours sincerely,

Your GSU Officers
