This workshop will explore a simple way to understand your brain and nervous system, how attachment, chronic stress and trauma can impact it, and simple steps you can take to enhance emotional regulation and cognitive function

Along with experiential practices, the workshop will include easy to understand information on neurobiology and neuroscience. 

 

Facilitator

Loretta Curtin is a mindfulness educator, yoga teacher and social entrepreneur. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Melbourne (Australia), and has completed specialised training in yoga therapy and mindfulness for chronic pain, trauma

sensitive yoga, yoga and neuroscience, restorative yoga, yoga and the polyvagal theory, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has worked in the not-for-profit, education & training, and corporate sectors in a variety of roles, and is the co-founder of one of Australia's most visible Social Enterprises, Good Cycles. Loretta's mindfulness practice is the foundation for her courage, compassion, creativity and commitment to social change.
