WHO AM I, AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
My name is Ryan Bryce, and I’m running as one of your full-time GSU Officers for the next academic year. I’m running because, ultimately, I care - I care about your safety, happiness, and needs while you study at Greenwich.
WHAT DO I WANT TO DO?
My entire campaign is built around accessibility, inclusion, and support. This means that I pledge to:
- ENSURE that whatever barriers you might face, you have equal opportunity to make the best of your studies.
- INCLUDE AND STRENGTHEN misrepresented students’ views and channel them to create a better, more inclusive space.
- SUPPORT and work with students and staff to create a more united conversation.
I’m looking to:
- CONTINUE PRIORITISING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, especially for LGBTQ+ students,
- INTRODUCE A CHILDCARE FACILITY for student parents,
- HOLD MORE FORUMS WITH ACADEMICS AND STUDENTS so that students can more accurately report what they believe needs to change.
WHAT MAKES ME QUALIFIED?
- PRESIDENT, LGBTQ+ AT GREENWICH (second term),
- SOCIETIES EXECUTIVE (which means I sit on a board of society committee members and we look at things like new society applications and funding requests),
- SENIOR UK STUDENT RECRUITMENT AMBASSADOR (which means I work for the university to help people who contact us make a choice about what course they want to study),
- SENIOR STAART AMBASSADOR (which means I’m a student ambassador with a particular focus on assisting disabled students and work at things like Open Days),
- PROGRAMME REP FOR CREATIVE WRITING (won Programme Rep of the Year in 2018).
