WHO AM I?

Hi there students! I’m a first-year LLB Law student. Currently, I am involved in my programme as the Programme Representative. I’m running for Faculty Officer because I believe students should have central VOICE in their education.

IF ELECTED, I WILL...

  • Liaise with Faculty and GSU staff to make PANOPTO compulsory for all modules.

  • Improve students’ EXPERIENCES through providing EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES for all.

  • Promote opportunities for engagement in our diverse range of societies. Being part of a society isn’t just about making new friends but also about the SKILLS and qualities that you can acquire.

  • Support students’ WELFARE which is vitally important.

  • Work towards integrating student cards on everyday devices.

  • I would also like to work towards  NEW REFORMS, which would allow the students’ community to COLLABORATE: Introduce Moodle page for Reps, where Reps can submit minutes, ask for feedback, get students’ perspective and engagement.

  • Liaise with Faculty staff to launch its very own student-staffed LAW FIRM where students can WORK and PRACTICE on ‘live’ cases. Where students from every year of the programme will receive LEGAL WORK EXPERIENCE. Increasing PRO-BONO events so to give the students the opportunity to enhance their employability qualities.

WHAT HAVE I DONE SO FAR?

  • LLB LAW Programme Rep

  • Represented students to the best of my ability; liaised with staff to solve issues, promoted students’ concerns.

  • Attended Programme Committee meetings and suggested changes that were eventually accepted and enacted.

  • Manage multiple social media accounts, where students can create discussions, collaborate and debate. Programme reps have the opportunity to make announcements and get instant feedback.

  • Supported the Mentoring Scheme by crafting interactive video content with real power.
