Hi! My name is Amy Rowe, I am a Business Management student and I am running for the Business Faculty Officer position. With my nearly two years of experience and my current role as a Business Management programme representative, I believe I have the abilities to communicate well between the students and the course leaders. Therefore, my overall aim is to extend my representation even further and become one of the voices of the business department to help make Greenwich University a better experience for all.
By voting for me, some of the suggestions of changes I feel students would benefit from are:
- Timetables: Large breaks between lessons and timetable clashes appear to be the most common issue at the University. Therefore, I will attempt to work with members of staff to see how this can be reduced.
- Summer Internship Events: Although there are summer internship events that already take place at the University, I believe there should be more events to promote summer internship as an alternative to doing a year in industry.
- BSEO: As the BSEO has such a significant part at the University, I would like to implement more involvement between the students and the BSEO to help their employability development.
With the support of the students, student union members, course leaders and other members of the University, we can work together to implement these changes.
