Candidate for the position of Engineering & Science Faculty Officer

Moulan Zahir

Hi all,

My name is Moulan Zahir and I am a second year civil engineering student at University of Greenwich. I am running for this position of part time voluntary as a faculty officer to help the students with the issues by directing them to the right place to go to during their time in the University. Through my educational journey in this University I have done numerous projects such as Engineering Without Boarders, which developed my team working, leaderships, communication, as well as computer skills.

If elected, I aim to:

  • Bring more clear guidance around more assessments.
  • Hold more annual student events at getting students involved in order to give opportunity to keep a common communication between each other and to discuss their problems, ideas, feedbacks or any other issues if they have within the university.
  • More social/quiet gathering for students to socialise or to get each other know better.
  • Increase social activities by running events such as football where they can meet up new people.
  • Approach students to ask if they have any issues or questions related to their programme of studying.
  • Interaction between home students and internationals students. Gaining feedback from student’s personal experience because there is lack of such an interaction between international and home students in the campus. I believe that it would be beneficial to all students, which will expand our friendship group.

Thank you for reading my manifesto and if you want to know more about my ideas please feel free to contact with me at, mz0434x@gre.ac.uk.
