#1 Mental Health

I have...

  • secured ~£35,000 for personal tutors to be trained in mental health awareness,
  • supported over 1,000 Wellbeing Checks for students,
  • developed a Greenwich Mental Health Strategy ensuring students get the services they need,
  • organised a £3,000 Mental Health Event with 40+ activities across three campuses,
  • reviewed 6 university policies making them more suitable for students,
  • and curated a World Mental Health Day Exhibition of mental health stories.   

I will…

  • continue to improve mental health provision through the Mental Health Strategy I co-created,
  • continue to champion students talking about mental health through events, 
  • and push for support services at every campus.

#2 Campus Support

I have...

  • secured £20,000 and redeveloped the Avery Hill Dome, adding pool tables and sofas,
  • improved numbers of buses between campuses and opened the laundrette 24/7,
  • visited students in halls to look specifically about the library and residencies at Avery,
  • and pushed to make Dreadnought accessible.  

I will…

  • keep students the focus of Avery developments,
  • give Medway students the power to improve their campus,
  • and request a postroom at Avery and better signage so your post doesn’t go missing!

#3 Student Group Support

I have...

  • provided opportunities for student groups at events I created,
  • and helped developed wellbeing checks for society and sports leaders.

I will…

  • providing student groups opportunities to grow by making financial bidding easier.

#4 Student Voice

I have…

  • ensured that students are supported to create change and host events,
  • been representing students in over 100 meetings with the university this year.

I will...

  • give students more platforms to be heard,
